I simply do not yield, ever
Tiny, yet a timeless wonder
An occurrence on earth so rare
A voyager clothed in invisible care
I wield no sceptre, I seek no realm
Yet Nature blessed me lasting acclaim.
In size, I am microscopic and still
An algivorous by instinct and will
Eight sturdy limbs with delicate claws
A soft, rugged fortress obeying life’s laws
Microscopic as a sigh, eyes scarcely see
A stylet for feeding, a nerve-guided frame.
Rivers may run dry, the hot deserts blaze
Winter may lie frozen, radiation for days
Be it moss-laden stones or the deep sea
From glaciers austere to desert’s decree
Where life appear forsaken, silence is big
I placidly linger on till favourable spring.
I fold into stillness, a phenomenal tun
As if the TIME itself has forgotten to run
Then I’m waken with the life-giving rain:
Therefore, deride not finding me tiny
I have survived for all eternity
Where giants vanished into dusty.
