My Humming Word

The Everlasting Echo

Editor’s Pick

Lived with the guilt through these long, fading years
When my teenage silence buried the deepest truths
Seized by shadows of my shyness and tender fears
I chose to hide my inner voice with a thousand words.

I watched many couples moving on to tie their knot
Yet time dissolved the passion they had sought
The seven vows before sacred fire turned to daily dust
As habit and routine turned golden bonds to bitter rust.

Having seen how wild romance surrenders into must
Glowing memories lose their soft embrace and trust:
In this quiet, unearned satisfaction, I find my solace
That we escaped the nemesis of losing soft embrace.

Though we failed to secure a holy altar or a pious name
Our untamed bonding never burned into a dying flame
Untarnished by the rust of world and the passing space
I hold you until now in timeless love and eternal grace.
