My Humming Word

Editor’s Pick

We never weren’t the friends we were
Time brought a rough change in the weather
Thus seized in the tempest’s blinding gale
I allowed my inner conscience guide my sail.

Something that happened was indeed a phase
A saga in itself and a long-lasting eclipse
But it evaporates now, with so many changes
As the heart doesn’t care about calendar pages

I felt the lasting echo of longing over the years
Through all our silence as well as hidden tears
You asked what happened, I am searching clue
But faithful skies forever hold their blue.

So, if or when our glances ever cross again
No bridges to build, no broken paths to remain
We would just step out of this monastic frost
For sure, a great friendship is never lost.
