My Humming Word

He lives within his barriers of a narrow mind
Where envy grows and reason stays confined;
A wounded vanity, disguised beneath disdain
Turns every kindness into some offence again.

He awfully strives to make his own notion reign
With a noise of hollow words and loud disdain
And when he cannot equal those he envies
He throws his sludge at the sky he cannot reach.

Even where love should bloom, he sows discord
And measures every heart with his stunted yard
No matter how the wise people try to persuade
He breaches the harmony with a new bitter tale.

Some men, who cannot scale the lunar height
Will search for flaws to dim its cool, radiant light
But wisdom leaves such men to their petty spite
Since wrestling in the mire won’t wash it white.

Stand with dignity intact to keep your soul refined
Let your noble conduct speak to such a narrow mind
For the true excellence has nothing left to prove
To blind and stubborn hearts that may never move.
