The giraffe is a fascinating creature to see
One of the most wondrous that ever could be
With seven neck bones just like you and me
It can lift head upto twenty feet high and free.
​ Inside the chest, a massive heart is found
Which might weigh full twenty-five pound
Then it has special valves inside efficient brain
To control the heavy pressure and the strain.
To drink the water, it spreads its legs wide
Bends down low with majestic grace and pride
A long purple tongue braves the thorned acacia
Feeding safe, unhurt from dusk till morning facia.
No roaring calls, no harsh and loud commands
It walks in elegance through the dusty lands
It hums in low and hidden frequencies of grace
Though the wide and open desert space.​
When a newborn baby calf enters the ground
It drops down six feet with a sudden bound
On wobbly legs, it takes a sturdy stance
Within an hour, it learns its very first dance.
​An engineering marvel of grit, bone and skin
Built strong for the struggles it’s destined to win
With undying grace, it survives through the strife
Standing tall in a savage world to conquer its life.
