My Humming Word

Immortal Jellyfish

Beneath the ocean’s rolling crest
Where water currents move and cycle
A bell of glass and crimson chest
Resets its cells to turn back cycle.

With stinging threads, drift & trailing
It hunts for food in shadows deep
Through sea dark it goes on sailing
While other creatures fall asleep.

When age or sorrow bows the frame
And twilight whispers of the decay
It turns back to the newborn phase
And melts its sculpted form away.

While empires fall and oceans age
It simply turns the lifetime page.
