Rajnigandha: An Eternal Flame

Editor’s Pick

So pure, so delicate in ivory white
Its bloom shuns splendour of the light
Secretly in its core, away from all sight
Lies love burning through endless night.

No splendid display, not a word to say
Yet subtle fragrance travels far away
Like the love that asks for nothing more
Yet it endures where it bloomed before.

Each tender bloom, each breath divine
Conceals a love beyond space and time
A thousand feelings yet veiled from view
A quiet, eternal flame forever true.

While fleeting years have passed us by
And mortal blooms have withered dry
One fragrance shall the soul remind—
Of warmth that time could never bind.

For true love needs no grand design
No golden crown, no awe-inspiring sign
Likewise Rajnigandha, pure and rare
It breathes in silence, everywhere.
