​Long years are a chasm, an unbridgeable gap
Yet those small, fragile tidbits refuse to stop
They rise in my loneliness, they flicker and play
Leaving the heart perplexed in restless disarray. ​

The fragile links that we forged in youthful heart
Those soft, tangled threads that remind our past
In a phantom touch, the untold truth whispers
And takes away peace of mind, even the soul stirs.
