The master clock-man appeared
And offered a deal to the little boy
If he would care to buy an extra day
For merriment in life on a premium!
The chirpy boy dashingly replied
He didn’t care a bit at the moment
For he had plenty of time in hand
To dream and see that it’s realized.
The clock man returned back again
With the same query after few years
The little boy had grown up by now
To be an accomplished young man.
The young man elegantly answered
He had no time or space for rubbish
And hypothetical question in life
With momentous things on the cards.
Years later, the omnipotent clock man
Surfaced again with the same question
Now the boy and erstwhile young man
Had transformed to a dignified old man.
The old man, now sober and composed
Parried this time in a conclusive timbre
Not a penny, sir, I am in complete peace
With my serene body, mind and soul.
