My Humming Word

Yesterday I saw you in my courtyard
With your eternal beauty and grace
You were gleaming in a fairy attire
With angelic smile and aura on face.

As ever anxious and desperate me
In my temptation to close with you
I moved forward but in a moment
My hands and feet went cold
An ice sheet formed between us
A fog thickened like a cotton ball.

But the situation didn’t last long
In a short-while from then
The Sun appeared in the horizon
In its might and bright sunshine
With your silhouette apparent
Ice melted and fog cleared
You were standing there upfront
Still smiling and waving at me.

Moments of spiritual bliss and joy!
Like a rain shower in a barren land
Wanted to talk but was speechless
Wanted to feel but was frozen
Alas then swift came the end
And realization too was fast
Awake it was only a day dream
A twilight tale of the Sunday afternoon.
