My Humming Word

  1. Poem

A Megalomaniac’s Shadow

With his swollen pride, he builds a castle of air
Demanding every soul around to clap and adore
Wearing a crown of borrowed light and false height
He judges all with sheer arrogance and blind might.

He ignores wise advice and fights with friend or foe
His ego casts a shadow where warmth cannot grow
For his cravings of praise, he breaks the moral order
Creating chaos, doubt and strife across every border.

Do not argue or fight with a mind full of pride
Turn your back on the storm and just step to the side
Kill the fuel of his vanity and flatten the show
Watch him shrink to a shadow with nowhere to go.
