My Humming Word

Colours vanished after you like whispers in the wind
Leaving behind only monochrome’s time-worn rind
Pink and blue’s marvel fancy turned misty and murky
My life’s canvas became grayscale, weary and dreary.

Ever Since on each Holi eve, I wish colours’ jolly play
For you, rainbow’s dazzling in a vibrant cosmic array
May you shine forever in colours, a masterpiece divine
Then, I find solace in black and white’s sheer quiet line.

Now I wish why Holi alone, may vibrant colours rush
For you, a kaleidoscope’s explosion in a dazzling flush
You always shimmer in hues like a masterpiece on fire
I wield black and white akin to a monk’s ascetic desire.

While praying for you a vibrant and bright rainbow hues
I consciously chose black and white as my life compass
White serves well with colours’ ball, pure and unbound
Black is a shroud that absorbs emotions’ anarchic round.
