In desert and arid lands, a cactus stands
A symbol of resilience, in a harsh climate
Its thorns, a stern warning to all intruders
An effective defence means, to keep it safe.
Prickly outside, with neither leaves nor shade
But in a true sense it’s like a heart of gold
Protects itself, yet within flowers bloom so fine
A parable for hearts, hiding under a mask divine.
Akin to cactus, many humans too have pricks
Thorns to protect self from life’s harsh streaks
But if pierced through with love and care
One’ll find hearts enough resilient and true.
In relationships, like cactus let’s adapt to terrain
Try to grow strong despite life’s scorching pain
And, like the cactus blossom that blooms bright
Through the thorny paths, let’s learn to navigate.
