Indian electorate is so diverse & complex
A majority is driven by selfish consideration
Such as the caste, creed, religion & region.
Nonetheless the mandate given by people
This time in 2024 Parliamentary elections
Shall be paradoxically recalled in the annals
Of the Indian history for a fairly long time.
On one hand, it’s strangely enough to recall
The electorate gave a fragmented mandate
To the incumbent ruling party and partners
A victory that literally sounds like a defeat.
On the other hand, it is also ironically true
That same electorate has inflicted a defeat
To the opportunist united opposition parties
That sounds like a bountiful victory to them.
