Splendid show of fireworks and sparklers.
Past these decorations & manifestations
Fancy rows of lamps and flames of candles
Magnificent fireworks, and all glare & glitter
My mind gets busy in pensive contemplation
About men, the enablers of this grand fiesta
Retailers, cleaners, electricians, and planners
Low earning folks whose own house is dark
But they bring light to other people’s homes.
My heart literally beats only for these people
I pledge this Diwali to these deprived people.
