Affectionate and gentle with the young
Compassionate and caring with the aged
Kind and sympathetic to the struggling, and
Tolerant and merciful to the wronged.

For he realizes well
Sometime during the distant past
He had himself passed through
All these stages during his life –
Pain and discomfort of the vulnerable lot.
