Life has many colours
And so are the friends
To illustrate view point
Here are a few legends.
There is one friend
Proactive, always calls me first
Puts me in high esteem
And consideration
Chats a lot on things relevant
As also things not so relevant
But will never complain
Or talk of any loss or gain.
There is another friend
Passive, seldom takes initiative
And whenever I reach one
Will always crib or complain
This time I have taken too long
An indication that one cares
Concerned about our well being
But talk things so mundane.
Then there is this friend
I was so happy to find after long
Despite many things to share or talk
On face almost everything was lost
Throat went dry and speech blurred,
Even for a routine get going
Had to take a full water glass
Time has passed, things changed
So perhaps, ice can’t melt fast.
Whether you agree or not
Life is unpredictable and ironical
So are our likings and preferences
From amongst some of these friends
When I look at the order of preference
Someone perhaps who should be first
Often comes really in the last.
