Once a wise man in the West gave
A dictum ‘Let bygone be bygone’
Treating it as mere follies of youth
For person’s peace and bliss in life!

The phrase by its genuine implication
Essentially advises everyone to forget
More of the eventful and sordid past
For a cheerful life with what is present.

But is this really true and practicable?

After all the past, present and future
Are different kaalkhand* of same time
Then cause and effect are inseparable
And together dictate eternal way of life.
