At certain age and in a riveting spell
Passion and emotions ran very high
With an eager desire to live own life
In a blissful harmony with adored one
But this was not acceptable to destiny
Life slipped leaving him high and dry.
Having reached a certain stage of life
With many things in power and reach
Nothing attracts, not a thing distracts
He no more senses pleasure and pain
So is the case with love, or hate either
No cravings left, things no more matter
He doesn’t feel success or failure either.
Could current state of affairs be ascribed
To a downright apathy or lack of interest
Thanks to his gone by dismay and failure
That left no charm in this wretched life…?
Or, he is now close to an equipoise mind
A prelude to renunciation and liberation!
