In this endless yet ephemeral
And ever-changing life cycle
I wonder in solitude
More so in frosty wintry nights
So also the gloomy foggy days…
Why the friend and friendship lost
Once so endearing and sublime
Close to my heart and mind
Gives such an acute feeling
Of love, longing, absence and loss!
In all these fateful years
Of a long and hectic journey
Towards the twilight now
One abstract and recurring thought
That swoons and surges
With the vagaries of weather
Time and again…
Falling in love with a friend
Is the most beautiful and blissful
Thing to happen during the life
And then losing the loved one
As most painful loss of lifetime.
