Nature’s fury,
Phailin sizzles
and fizzles out
leaving behind
a trail of
destruction and loss…

The cyclonic storm
and heavy rains render
lakhs of houses flattened
millions homeless
and billions of crops
and properties destroyed…

Alas!
Churning of ocean
brings Halahalam
and no more renders
good fortune
treasures, beauty
and Amrita –
the nectar of gods.
