Intolerance

Thanks to the wisdom and talent
Of Indian intellectuals and media
These days the wind of intolerance
In the country, is furious and fast.

So many authors, actors and artists
In protest against alleged intolerance
Are returning symbols of achievement
Back to the federal government so fast.

I am keen to join this elite bandwagon
So I wish if life too in anger and protest
Could return my childhood days,
Those dreams and innocence lost.

(Some motivated people under patronage and ideologically aligned with some political parties are so often resorting to gimmicks of returning insignia and citations in the named of alleged intolerance in the country under particular regime but none has surrendered any cash rewards so often attached with these honours.)
