My Humming Word

Editor’s Choice

Separated by infinite distance
And away from the homeland
Lost in cacophony of a busy shore
Of an alien and prosperous land
A young and agile shadow emerges
Close to a young and tall palm tree
Wrapped in a silky pink-blue attire
Ever so magnificent and charming
Mingles with the din of dusty times
And then like a warped winder
Gently starts unfolding into
A wobbling yet glint silhouette
Of a wrinkled yet graceful soul…

The worn out palm tree whispers
In a conspiratorial yet affable tone
It’s getting too cold and lonesome
Ignoring own heart beats so long
Why don’t you break your silence
Far off at your native shore
Someone is still waiting for you
Well beyond the cognition
Of space, aeon and age.
