My Humming Word

Take (540).jpg

If it is…
Undiminishing and pure,
Tasteless and odourless,
Soundless, touchless and colourless,
And eternal…
Without a beginning and an end
Ever constant – the Soul
In search of Nirvana.

Who experiences then,
And what induces…
Those carnal desires –
Happiness and hope,
Peace, comfort and care,
Empathy and sympathy,
Pity, courage and compassion,
Love and affection,
Pleasure, lust and sex!

Who is victim then,
And what incites…
Those mortal sufferings –
Worry and pain,
Guilt and agony,
Anger and rage,
Fear, hostility and revenge,
Depression, discomfort and drain.

O! self-proclaimed God-men
Why in the name of
Nirvana or moksha
You exploit ordinary folk
To serve your own ends?

Why can’t you make it simple!
Agreed and alright –
The soul is unbegotten,
Ageless and immortal,
And it encompasses all
What is positive and negative,
What is godly or devilish,
And for its karma
And expression
It needs a body form.

The cycle goes infinite
In the time and space
And who knows when
The soul is absorbed
Into the supreme soul
To attain ‘Nirvana’!
