Eat, drink and dance
Till fatigue overtakes to the hilt
Their body, mind and soul.
People make resolutions
Set targets for self and others
In offices and business houses
Many exchange costly gifts
With or without design or intentions.
In a few days then
Euphoria dies down
Typical stereotype sets in
Things are back to usual routine
Targets and Resolution forgotten
And life goes on
As was it before
Only to repeat and relive
The same chorus yet again
All of it and more
On the next New Year Eve.
But there are a few
Who do not celebrate
No target or resolution ever make
Each beginning is a resolution
And each ending a target
They simply do their bit
Accomplish and move on to next.
For them
‘Walk your Talk” is their Karma
And each passing day in life
A ‘New Year Eve’.
