Goodbye Friend

A long time ago, in the adolescent age
Destiny had it a quiet rendezvous stage
Ever since I loved you in silence
And adored you from a distance.

Too many words remained unspoken
Too many things remained undone
A tale of so many unfulfilled wishes
A saga of so many shattered dreams.

On edge of dreams I often see your face
Somewhere midst I still hear your voice
Somebody said that dreams do come true
Skeptic! but dreams do bring some solace.

Me tangled between the wish and dream
And you remain forever a wish yet dream
Regardless of the space, time and age
I find it hard to say, Goodbye Friend!
