Forlorn

Other day I was curious
To know someone was forlorn
Since the person was lovelorn
Which literally meant
That someone was unhappy,
One’s love not reciprocated.

And what is more painful?
In love, you love someone
And not be loved in return
Or you love someone
Yet never find courage
And love remains untold.

The saddest thing in life is –
You love and adore someone
One means ‘a world’ for you
But at some stage you find
One was never meant for you
So you remain quiet to let it go.
