A Mirage

My ambition of course
Was to dub the colours
Of the spectrum
With your flawless
Angelic beauty and grace
To create the best ever
Rainbow of life,
But you were far more
Down to earth
With the eyes set
On the skies beyond
The galaxy perhaps…

Now stewed forever
Between the earth and skies,
The reality and dreams
Lassitude taking its toll
Jaded, I realize
In an endless chase
For the oasis
During all these years
We have been chasing
But separately of course
A mirage instead…!
