Once again, the nation is in a mood to enjoy
With patriotic fervour the Independence Day
A recurring saga on 15 August since country
Acquired freedom from British rule & slavery.
There are people taking freedom as a ticket
For arbitrary, bacchanal and unruly conduct
One can see many others too, truly liberated
Conducting in a fashion resolute and steadfast.
In response to their resolutions & felicitations
I have but always returned a profound appeal
It would be a better tribute to beloved nation
If they could also walk their talk in celebration.
