Eyes can’t see beyond
The black and white now.

Please do not make me
Any more promises for
Yet another rendezvous
To see you in life,
For twilight in life
Is fast closing up
And my jaded
and disillusioned
Heart is getting weaker now.

Please do not write for me
Reminding our friendship
Yet another poem
Intense and mystique,
For the jaded
and disillusioned
Poet in me
Finds it difficult
Composing new poems
On love and friendship now.
