My Humming Word

During the long journey of life
And its ever changing canvas
Travelers meet, stay and leave
You may like, love or hate some
For reasons, convenience and comfort
It’s but seldom in the sojourn
Someone leaves a large impact.

But be it a king, an elite
Or one of the common folks
True friendship and love
Comes only once in life.
Like a caravan or flood of emotions
And a commotion of tender feelings
The season of love when arrives
You start living in a virtual divinity
With a sense of attainment and ecstasy
Every pore of your body and soul
Exudes as if an ocean of fragrance
And a lot of love, care and attention
For your beloved and companion.

Season might stay long or short
You need to nurture it by heart
True love comes like a butterfly
Unless you hold fast it may fly
So never allow it to wither past sight
For any trifle bit of a strife
Ego, bashfulness or initiative
Lest it may surprise you and leave
Taking away fun and joy from life.

The caravan of love once gone
In your lifetime it seldom returns
You lose your friend and companion
So also love and companionship
What is left behind, is a trail of
Regret, remorse and perpetual pain
You carry for life like a bane.
